\nI was born and raised in Puerto Rico and have seen firsthand how frustrating it can be for loved ones facing medical issues without reliable information in Spanish. With the Hispanic population growing rapidly in the U.S., companies like GSK must invest in strategies to serve these communities. I’m thrilled to see the Oncology marketing team prioritizing Spanish resources, and I’m excited to contribute to creating more multicultural materials for various demographics to improve health equity and educate patients in their language.

\nHow have you collaborated across the GSK enterprise to integrate best practices into the oncology team?
\nI have a monthly call with all of the other training directors to share best practices and to borrow ideas from other business units. This has increased our collaboration and opened up new ways to do things across all business units. We also use this time to brainstorm innovative solutions to common challenges, which has led to more effective strategies and a stronger sense of unity among our teams. By leveraging each other's successes, we’ve been able to accelerate our progress and achieve better outcomes collectively.

\nOur team is passionate about ensuring all cancer patients have access to appropriate medical care. Our goals and responsibilities revolve around patient access. Our day to day involves activities such as working with my partners to ensure insurance coverage, confirming listings on electronic medical records (EMRs) at organizations, and monitoring appropriate reimbursement processes to help us reach our goals.
