Wanda Hill, Vice President, US Regulatory Affairs

Wanda Hill is Vice President, US Regulatory Affairs, as part of the Global Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance (GRQ) organization. She has line responsibility for regulatory advertising and promotion, copy approval governance, regulatory policy/advocacy/intelligence, and classic and established products in the U.S.

Wanda’s over 28-year career in the pharmaceutical business, began as a sales representative with Merck. She subsequently gained experience in various roles including drug information and policy development for health-system pharmacists with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and as a drug safety regulatory consultant for The Degge Group, where she led the regulatory and legal affairs group. A key project in her consulting role was leading support of a Veterans Health Administration working group to further development of an adverse event reporting framework, with outcomes published in The Lancet

Prior to joining GSK in 2011, Wanda spent over nine years with AstraZeneca (AZ), where she provided regulatory advertising and promotion support for various key AZ brands.  Wanda also worked for Endo to help build its promotional regulatory affairs function and deliver the promotional launch of Endo’s first ever NDA developed in house.  

Wanda has significant experience interacting with FDA’s Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP) and has collaborated with OPDP leadership to deliver training and workshops on the principles of advertising and promotion regulation. She has degrees in pharmacy and law with a concentration in healthcare law and policy.  As part of her legal training, Wanda served as a fellow in OPDP. 

Wanda is passionate about creating awareness of career opportunities at GSK and in the industry for early talent. She serves as a GRQ leadership sponsor for regulatory development programs, including a recently launched GSK postgraduate fellowship program in regulatory affairs and policy, in partnership with the Howard University College of Pharmacy and the FDA, Office of Medical Policy.
