The application process for the GlaxoSmithKline 2nd Annual IMPACT Awards in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina region closed on March 29, 2010. Winners will be announced in an awards ceremony later this year. The application for the GlaxoSmithKline 3rd Annual IMPACT Awards will be available on this website in January 2011.
The GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT Awards target community-based healthcare nonprofit organizations that provide access to healthcare for the underserved. The awards have been presented annually in both the U.S. (Philadelphia) and UK (London) for over 10 years. In North Carolina, up to ten organizations in Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Harnett, Johnston, Orange, Person and Wake Counties will be awarded $40,000 each.
