" As the number of uninsured Americans continues to grow, we are continually challenged to provide high quality, comprehensive healthcare services for those who, due to low-incomes, are unable to pay for their care. The GSK IMPACT Award not only recognizes our contribution to the community, but provides significant funding for us to continue our mission." – quote from Executive Director of former GSK IMPACT Award winning organization.

Since the awards began, community-based, healthcare-related nonprofits have been awarded more than $3 million in recognition of their success dealing with diverse and difficult health issues such as access to care, genetic disorders, dental health, breast health, aging and chronic diseases.

In addition to access to healthcare, the selection criteria for the Awards include commitment to serving people in need; facilitating access to healthcare delivery, education, creative partnerships, and policy development; and demonstration of a solid record of achievement, management and leadership.
