The North Carolina GlaxoSmithKline Foundation is an independent, self-funding nonprofit incorporated in 1986.

- Continuity Planning
The Foundation, chartered in 1986, began awarding grants in 1987. To date the Foundation has paid out $49 million in grants with another $4.7 million to be paid in multi-year grants. The Foundation typically supports programs in North Carolina that help to meet the educational needs of today's society and of future generations.
Continuity Planning
When natural or man-made disasters strike, communities must be positioned to continue providing services. Continuity Planning for Foundations (PDF 233KB) and Continuity Planning for Nonprofits (PDF 1.3MB) are documents designed to offer guidance to establish a basic continuity plan
