Why did you join GSK? What makes GSK a great place to work?

I joined GSK because of the company’s positive image, its mission of improving the quality of human life (I truly believe in the importance of the work we do here) and the fact that I could have such a unique career opportunity in Montana - my home state. GSK also has great benefits and fantastic people who I work with every day.

What have been the challenges in your role?

Probably the most notable challenge in my role has been an expansion project that is currently wrapping up. The project has been both a great challenge and learning experience for me. It hasn’t always been enjoyable, but it’s taught me a lot about managing contractors, time management, project planning and the importance of good follow through.

What have you learnt and enjoyed?

I love learning something new everyday. The learning never stops. The people I work with are great, from my coworkers at the Hamilton site to my colleagues around the globe since they are all smart and enjoyable people to work with and learn from. Besides, working together towards common goals and objectives makes it all worth while.

"I love learning something new everyday. The learning never stops. "

What responsibility and progression have you experienced so far?

I’ve been given, and encouraged to accept, as much responsibility as I could ask for and to really test my abilities, but I’m also given the necessary support so that I’m not completely overwhelmed by it.

What are your career aspirations and how do you see GSK supporting that?

My career aspirations are to advance within GSK either locally at the Hamilton site or through the global organization. As the company continues to grow and prosper, I’d like to be a part of that process and grow and prosper with it. GSK has an amazing array of opportunities worldwide for employees who show the desire to advance their career.

"GSK really cares about its employees and their well-being. "

How would you describe GSK’s company culture?

GSK’s company culture is very comfortable, respectful and supportive. GSK really cares about its employees and their well-being. It fosters a positive work environment and one where life-outside-of-work and family obligations don’t get lost or take a back seat. From paid time off to great insurance, health incentives like gym memberships and team-building/social activities, GSK has built a very desirable culture and one that makes those tough days at work seem not so bad and worth the energy.

What would be the 3 main points you would sell to prospective applicants interested in GSK?

  • Superior employee benefits.
  • A career path built on a fantastic corporate mission - To improve the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longer.
