Hour of Power Rowing & Cycling Challenge

Looking to show support for a great cause this spring? Well look no further. On World Meningitis Day, April 24, GSK will host a one “Hour of Power” rowing/cycling challenge event, at Lloyd hall on Boathouse Row to raise awareness of meningococcal disease among college students and athletes, as well as to show support for patients and the advocacy community right here in our hometown.

Event registration begins at 12pm. The event will kick-off at 12:30 pm and run though 2:30pm that afternoon. Come take part in the “Hour of Power: Rowing and Cycling Challenge” to support World Meningitis Day and learn about the dangers of meningococcal disease from US Paralympic cyclist and GSK spokesperson, Jamie Schanbaum.

Get a team of 5 people together and come show support! Each team must complete one hour on a machine and they have the option to split the time between each other as they please. If you cannot make a team of five, you can still come out, take 5 minutes to learn about the disease and log a few meters on an erg or a bike.
