I chose to do an apprenticeship, because engineering was my favorite subject at school. I have always enjoyed working with my hands. This made me look at apprenticeship more than choosing to go to college.
The most enjoyable part of my apprenticeship so far was the personal development week. I met apprentices from other sites and countries who were also just starting at GSK. We focussed on team work, and created a strong bond between a group of people who only knew each other a few days. We learned about our strengths and weaknesses, and we could see when someone needed that extra bit of encouragement to get them over the line.
