Every breath you take: Alison’s story
Most of us take breathing for granted. It’s an automatic activity that we don’t need to think about. But imagine if every breath you took was a struggle; imagine waking up in the night short of breath and wheezing.
This is the reality for people with untreated respiratory disease. One such disease is asthma, a chronic illness characterised by recurrent attacks of breathlessness and wheezing.
The severity and frequency of symptoms vary widely from patient to patient. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to managing this illness.
We remain committed to developing treatments that transform the lives of patients worldwide who suffer from breathing-related illnesses. This requires a deep understanding of respiratory disease, in all its forms, and an awareness that every patient’s experience is different. We understand that asthma comes in many forms and we are committed to developing a range of options that doctors can select to meet the needs of individual patients.
